Limitations of Checklists for Jira Free

Checklists for Jira (Free) allows up to 100 visible checklist items (including separators / headers) per Jira work item, and a total of 10,000 checklist items per instance. You can also create up to six checklist templates.

When there are more than 100 items (including headers) on a single Jira work item, only the first 100 will be displayed. Over the limit items on those checklists can be viewed via the Checklist Editor, the Checklist Text custom field, or by upgrading to Checklist for Jira (Pro) or Checklist for Jira (Enterprise).

The total number of checklist items per instance is calculated daily and includes checklist items on closed Jira work items. When an instance is approaching (has 9,000 or more) the limit of 10,000 checklist items, a warning will be displayed. When the 10,000 item limit is reached, it is no longer possible to add additional checklist items (either via the Checklist UI, a checklist template or the Checklist text custom field). All other item operations (checking/unchecking, editing, replacing or deleting) will still be available on existing checklist items.
Upgrade to Checklist for Jira (Pro) or Checklist for Jira (Enterprise) or delete existing items to restore the ability to create new checklist items.
