Validate that the Checklist is Not Empty

Company-managed Spaces

This validator blocks a transition unless there are checklist items, either on a Local or Global Checklist.

To set the workflow validation rule:

  1. Navigate to Space settings > Workflows

  2. Click Edit workflow.

  3. Select the transition where you want to add the rule and click on the Rules + sign.

  4. Click on Checklists for Jira under Marketplace Rules and select Checklist is not empty.

  5. Click Select.

  6. Click Add.

  7. Click Update workflow to save the changes.

Troubleshooting Validators

Team-managed Spaces

This validator blocks a transition unless there are local checklist items. The rule will not consider the presence of a Global checklist.

To create the validation rule:

 

  1. Navigate to Space settings > Work types and select the appropriate work type.

  2. Click Edit workflow.

  3. Select the transition where you want to add the rule and click on the Rules + sign.

  4. Click on Restrict transition and select Validate a field.

  5. Click Select.

  6. Select:

    1. Validate that field Isn’t empty

    2. For field(s) Checklist Text

  7. Click Add.

  8. Click Update workflow to save the changes.
